Project Summary:
(1)Railway traffic No.1 Line engineering
Railway traffic No.1 Line engineering is the first full overhead speedy railway line in the planning of Wuhan railway traffic line. It is located at Hankou, RNNING ACROSS Hankou from the east to the west. It starts from Wujiashan in the west and arrives at Dijiao in the east. The line passed by Wujiashan and reaches Duoloukou,Gutian district, Zhongguan along Jiefang Avenue, then turns to passes by No2. Changjiang Bridge, then turns to Jiefang Avenue, passes by Erqi Road, finally turns to Hanhuang Road and arrives at its terminal Dijiao.NO.1 Lineis fully overhead with the total length of 28.87km. 26 stations are set along the line. Total length of first-stage No1. Lien is 10.234km with total investment 2.199 billion RMB. It was opened to traffic in Sept.2004.
The second stage engineering of No.1 Line is extended from the first-stage engineering to both sides: for the west section, it is extended from main track of Zhongguan Station to the west, laid along the middle of Jiefang Avenue, passes by No1. Hanxi Road, Gutian district and Duoluokou, then crosses Wuhan-Danjiangkou railway and urban Third-ring crossroads, moves along the northern green belt of No107. National Highway. It turns to the north after reaching Wuhan Road, then moves forward, crosses Dongwu Avenue, and finally arrives at Jinshan Avenue. The length of western section is 11.50km, with full overhead and 10 stations. Rolling stock section of No.1 Line is set at Gutian; for the east section, it extends eastwards from Huangpu Road Station, Passes through No2. Changjiang Bridge downwards, upwards crosses the gorge area of Jiang’an railway cargo yard, then the line is laid along the center of JiefangAvenue, passes by Xuzhouxianchun, Danshuichi, until Chalukou. After that, the line reaches the terminal Dijiao along Hanhuang Road. The full length of eastern section is 7.14km of full overhead and 6 stations. Length of the second stage engineering totals 18.64km, with 16 stations.
Within the west section of the second stage engineering of No1. Lien, the total area of the land available for development and construction is about 211.6 hectares. That of the adjacent area of eastern section is 113.7 hectares. The total investment of the second engineering is estimated to be 4422 million RMB with technical economic index RMB 237 million RMB/km. The one of western section engineering (including vehicle section) is 3002 million RMB; and the technical section from Zhongguan to Duoluokou amounted 20.61 million RMB; that from Duoluokou to Jinshan avenue amounted to 941million RMB. The estimated total investment of eastern section is 1420 million RMB with the technical economical index 199 million RMB /km.
(2) No.2 Line engineering of railway traffic
No.2 Line engineering starts from the Machi Road at northern side of Hankou Changqing Garden in the north, pases by the most important external traffic hinges of Wuhan, such as Hankou Railway Station, Jinjiandun Coach General Station, Xinhua Road Coach Station and Gujiapo Coach Station, etc.
It passes through the commercial and trade central area such as Wuhan Plaza, walk street of Jianguan Road, Zhongnan Department Store and Aasia Trade Plaza; passes by teaching, research, new hi-tech industry development zones such as East Lake Hi-tech Development Zone, China Optics Balley, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, Wuhan University, until ending at No5.Guanshan Road. The first stage engineering is from Changqing Garden to Luxiang. Miaoshan branch starts from Luxiang from the west, passes by Luoyu road, No1 Guanshan road, Lianghu road, finally arrives at Miaoshan.
The length of No.2 Line totals 39.8km for underground line, 12.654km for overhead line; there are 31 stations totally, including 20 ones for underground and 11 ones for overhead. The first stage engineering starts from Changqing Garden and ends at Luxiang, with total length 26.1km and overhead line 1.8km, the rest is underground line. It is planned to be commenced and constructed in 2005 and completed in 2010.
Area of used land for development and construction of Hankou section of No.2 Line is 204.77 hectares, additionally 50.35 hectares of land has been reserved. That of the first stage of No.2 Line along Wuchang section is 80.47 hectares, the additional 76.12 hectares of land has been reserved.
3.Cooperative methods
Based on the principles of benefiting the improvement of overall urban function of Wuhan and construction of railway traffic network of Wuhan, we can adopt several investment and cooperative modes:
1.Reconstruction of company stocks;
2.BOT, BT and PPP modes of whole project construction
3.Separate block construction mode of whole project, that is to say that the comprehensive construction of station and operation facilities construction are carried out by different investors.
