Project Summary:
Quanzhou is a significant port on the coastline of China, and it is also the biggest container port in Fujian province. It is combined of south part of Meizhou gulf, Quanzhou gulf, Shenhu gulf, and Weitou gulf. By the end of 2005, it contains 58 producing ports, which including 11 ports of over ten thousand tons capacity. The main industry area is within petroleum, petroleum related products, containers, and some other transportations. In 2005, the capacity of this port was up to 40.46 million tons, including 630 thousand TEU. The Quanzhou port connects with ports in over 30 countries. Quanzhou port is the base station up on the chemical and petroleum base in Fuzhou city, and also the significant transferring point. Within the China 11th china five years planning, it will be invest up to $3.05 billion RMB to construct 22 deepwater harbors. |
