A new matchmaking symposium, which is called Matchmaking Symposium Fair for Transportation & Freight, will be firstly held during the great investment event. The transportation projects will be the global FDI hotspot with its huge capital requirements. The fair has got attention from the organization of Economic Corporation & Development, International Finance Corporation, World Association of Investment Promotion agencies and Global investment institutions.

Matchmaking Symposium for Transportation & Freight will be held on Sept. 8, 2007. It will be sponsored by the Projects Division of the Organizing Committee of CIFIT, China Association for Transportation & Freight, and Global Freight Organization. Furthermore, Beijing Sihai Quanxin Freight Management Center and GFO finance association organize the event.

The secretary of the organization committee, Mr. Zheng Weihang referred that developing China transportation construction and management is the key part for the government next decades planning. The China Transportation Administrative has made advantage investment policies especially for the overseas investing institutions in the field of transportation. The fair will provide the best platform for better investment corporations.

As the government recently planning report showed, China railway will take more than 2,560 Billons RMB capital assets into construction by the end of 2007, and the merging IPO stock value will be up to 250 Billions RMB. Meanwhile, as the Administration of China Transportation stated, there will be 27 Highway across the country to be placed, and the capital needs is around 1400 billions by the end of 2010.

China domestic ports will be classified based on the regional coast, and each port will be planned into system use based on the industrial field such as coal, petroleum, container, grain, Automobile, island and customer user. The government is set up the advantage policies for most institutions such as to have control on sole ownership and operating rights on their investment firms. As the statistics of domestics’ports investment showed, the overseas investment reached over 1000 Billion RMB. The terminal water infrastructure construction investment will be increased to 639 deep-water ports which handle annual volume in 61 billions tons in next five years.

The China airport administrator states that there will be 37 airports in reconstruction, 12 airports in moving, 40 new airports built and 12 army airports in planning. The estimated amount for investment will be up to 1400 billions RMB.

The organization committee believes that the fair will bring the industry investment new period achievement.
